Specifications

The Ballistic Life Style Case is available now for $29.99 each. The case comes with different corner pieces to customize the protection to your needs. It will fit the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S on any carrier.

In Use

This interesting case is very slim and adds little bulk to the iPhone. The case is made from a frosted soft touch plastic that is flexible. The corners of the case can be popped off and replaced with thick or thin pads to protect in the event of a drop. The red ends are thicker than the black and offer more cushion.

The case is easy to install on the iPhone and can be removed as well if you need to clean the device. I was able to dock the iPhone 4 on my alarm clock dock with the black ends in place. Depending on the design of your docking station, you might not be able to dock your iPhone with this case installed.

The case ships with ten bumpers including red and black versus to replace as needed. My review unit was the frosted blue unit. It looks like a superhero phone with the red tips on it. The black one might be more to some peoples taste since it goes with the red and black end tips better in my opinion. I think this case would provide plenty of protection in the event of a drop and works very well. The only drawback is the tips make it a little hard to get the iPhone out of your pocket, especially when sitting.

Verdict

Pros

  • Customizable protection
  • Fits all iPhones

Cons

  • Can be hard to get out of a pocket

Conclusion

The Ballistic Life Style Case is a nice case with customizable protection that will work with any iPhone 4 or 4S smartphone.
