Early Amazon Black Friday Sale: $879.94 Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook

The Countdown to Amazon Black Friday Deals Week sale is under way. Amazon offers 19 days of deals across almost all major product category including electronics, computers, video games, toys, smartphones, fashion and more. We are constantly scanning the Amazon Countdown to Black Friday 2011 deals and highlight each day the best ones we can find. Here is a great early Amazon Black Friday 2011 deal we just spotted.

Before Ultrabooks launched there was concern that they will not be selling under $1,000 to effectively compete with the MacBook Air. Now the Acer Aspire S3 is here and it sells for way less than $1,000. Amazon has the Acer Aspire S3-951-6646 on sale for $879.94.

Features of this Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook include 13.3-inch screen, Core i5 1.6Ghz CPU, 320GB HDD, 20GB SSD, 4GB DDR3 RAM and Intel Graphics 3000.

The Acer Zenbook UX31 Ultrabook has not yet managed to be priced under $1,000 though. The ZenBook also starts with a 128GB SSD that makes it more difficult. The Acer S3 seems to have found a better balance between price and performance.
