Netbooks lost their popularity when tablets started to rise. A couple years ago Black Friday had plenty of netbook deals because they have been a huge consumer draw. This year there are only a handful of netbooks advertised in Black Friday Ads. If you want a netbook deal this Black Friday, there are two great deals offered by Best Buy and Target.

The Target Black Friday Netbook Deal is a $157 10.1-inch Acer Netbook AOD25713404 with 250GB HDD, webcam, Intel Atom N455 CPU, 1GB RAM, Windows 7 Starter and Microsoft Office Starter. The regular price of this netbook is $229.99.

The Best Buy Black Friday Netbook Deal is a $149.99 10.1-inch Gateway LT2811U with 250GB HDD, webcam, Intel Atom N455 CPU, 1GB RAM, Windows 7 Starter and Microsoft Office Starter. The regular price of the Gateway netbook is also $229.99.

Based on price the Best Buy Black Friday Netbook is the best deal. Both netbooks have the same specs and only differ in brand and design. Best Buy will only have a minimum of 3 per store available. This is not a lot. If you want a bargain netbook on Black Friday you need to figure out if you have a higher chance getting it at Target or at Best Buy. Check both retailers on Thanksgiving Day at midnight in case they offer their Black Friday netbook deals online first.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
