The Apple Black Friday 2011 Sale offered modest discounts again this year, but that is enough for Apple to trigger a sales frenzy. As reported the Apple Black Friday Sale 2011 offered savings of $41-$61 on the Apple iPad 2, $101 off MacBook Pro, $101 off MacBook Air, $101 off iMac, $21-$41 off iPod touch and $11 off iPod nano. Apple is also offering Black Friday deals on accessories. Most notable are savings of $11 on iPad Smart Covers and $5 off a $50 iTunes Gift Card. The general $101 savings on MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac only were good if you did not buy the base models. Same was true of the iPad. Unless you bought higher end models, other retailers including Best Buy and Amazon had better deals on Black Friday for the entry-level MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac and iPad. Apple's iPod discounts were ridiculous compared to the other retailers on Black Friday.
9to5Mac reports that an inside source at Apple told them that the Apple retail sales broke records around the country. There are no specific numbers in the report. Apple is likely to offer a special Apple Store Cyber Monday 2011 Sale this year again. For some reason Apple is not embracing Cyber Monday. Last year they only had an accessory sale. For Apple all focus is on Black Friday. I think Apple would not damage the Apple Black Friday Sale if they would offer also a Apple Cyber Monday Sale. They should of course offer different deals. One idea would be bundle deals - e.g.: Buy any MacBook Air get iPad 16GB for $399 - now that deal would generate a nice sales record.
Shop the Apple Store online. The Apple Cyber Monday Sale 2011 should launch soon.
