The PS3 sold very well on Black Friday thanks to some reduced pricing that was offered around the web. If you have a PS3 there is a new software update that is coming soon that will bring the game console to version 4.0. The new update is aimed at helping the PS Vita buyers in Japan link the PS3 and the new portable when it launched.
The Vita is launching soon in Japan. The update will allow the PS3 to be used as a content management device for the Vita with the ability to copy digital games between the two devices. It also has music, photos, and videos between the Vita and PS3 and it will allow the user to backup save game data on the console.
There are some other changes with the new update as well including some game patches and more. The update also brings video game recommendations and video recommendations along with syncing of trophy information. It also adds in PSN settings for filtering friend requests and messages. The exact date for the launch is unknown.
