Over the last, few weeks since the Kindle Fire launched from Amazon a bunch of fans and tech geeks have wondered just how many of the tablets Amazon has moved. According to eDataSource is estimating that Amazon may have sold as many as 850,000 of the tablets. The total sales may be ever higher.

That 850,000 number is thought to be the number of tablets sold directly from the Amazon.com website. The tablet is also being sold though other channels. All sales combined are thought to be as much as 2 million.

The Kindle Fire also sold very well at Best Buy for instance. The trend in sales is still increasing as well. It appears that Amazon has quite a winner on its hands. The downside to all the sales of the Fire is if the rumor that the Fire is being sold at cost is accurate, there will need to be a ton of books and movies sold through the tablet for Amazon to make money.
