If you have shopped for a new tablet recently you know that they can be very expensive. The new Transformer Prime from Asus for instance will cost $500 or more in some versions. One of the cheapest tablets is the new Kindle Fire at $199. If you want something even cheaper than the Fire you will soon be able to get your hands on a tablet with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich running for less.
The new tablet will cost $99 and is called the Novo7. The tablet comes from a Chinese company called Ainol Electronics and will be rebranded for the states. The tablet will run ICS as the OS and has a 1GHz CPU inside. It will have front and rear cameras and support 3D and 1080p video decoding.
The processor is a MIPS XBurst unit and the battery promises to last for eight hours. The 7-inch screen will support multi touch as well. I will wait until reviews of the tablet surfaces, but if the Novo7 can work as well as the Fire for $100 less this will be a popular tablet indeed.
