Sony has launched a new smartphone at CES 2012 today that is the first LTE device from Sony to hit AT&T. The smartphone is called the Xperia Ion and will land on the AT&T network in Q2 2012. The smartphone has a 4.6-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720.
The camera on the back has fast capture tech and can start and be ready to shoot photos in 1.5 seconds. The image sensor is 12MP on the rear and it has a front camera with HD resolution as well. The smartphone will launch with Android 2.3 onboard.
The processor inside is a 1.5GHz dual core and it has 16GB of internal storage. The smartphone can also share content via DLNA device, HDMI, and other input types. There is no word on pricing right now. I would expect the smartphone to land at $199 or more.
