Ballistic has been making its heavy-duty Tough Jacket three-layer case for a long time now. The case has previously been offered for a bunch of different smartphones and it has now launched for the iPad 2. This should be one of the more protective cases for the iPad 2.
The case has a first layer that is a thin silicone layer to absorb shock. The case also has a second layer that is a hard impact resistant plastic layer. The third layer is a shock absorbent polymer. The goal is to make a case that can protect your iPad from drops.
The top part of the cover can protect the screen and it can be used as a kickstand to prop the tablet up. The case comes in black or red and is available now for $69.99. “Over the past year we have delivered intelligently-engineered smartphone cases, with the highest degree of drop protection, which have all made quite a splash with consumers nationwide,” said Adam Stubin, Vice President of Business Development, Ballistic. “It was the next logical decision to provide our customers with this unique and truly rugged, lifestyle-inspired case for their iPad, the most popular tablet on the market. With the Ballistic Tough Jacket, users can feel confident that their precious investment will be protected against everyday drops.”
