Apple has had dramatic success with the MacBook Air. It is fast, thin, light and looks sexy. What is not to like, besides the $1,000 starting price. The MacBook Pro put next to a MacBook Air looks outdated. The MacBook Air already killed the MacBook. The MacBook Pro will only survive as MacBook Air look-a-like says a new report on Apple Insider.
Apple's design language is defined through the MacBook Air. What that means for the MacBook Pro is to drop the optical drive and cram as much performance as possible in a new slim body. This will not help pricing. The new 2012 MacBook Pro will stay high priced.
