Yesterday the AAPL stock went over $500 and is still over that historic mark today. Besides the huge market capitalization, Apple also sits on almost $100 billion in cash. Many called for an Apple dividend since a long time, but now it might be actually around the corner. At least that is what analyst Shaw Wu says according to Fast Money. The next Apple shareholder meeting is on February 23 and one of the topics could be a dividend.
Steve Jobs was always against a dividend, but now Apple is in the position to do it and it will drive even more investors to the company stock. A dividend would also make the high stock price more bearable again for investors. If Apple is already abandoning one of Steve Jobs' credos at this Shareholder meeting remains to be seen.
