What is pretty much sure is that Apple will announce the iPad 3 on March 7. We do not know when the iPad 3 acutally goes on sale. Usually it is within weeks of the announcement. 9to5Mac reports that Apple is opening the Apple Store inside Harrods in London Mid-March. Assuming a Friday sales launch for the new iPad and further assuming Apple will align the store opening with the iPad 3 sales launch results in a March 16 release date for the iPad 3 in Europe.
US and European iPad launch dates have not been the same so far. To hold true, Apple would need to release the iPad 3 already March 9 in the United States to keep at least a week in between sales releases.
Either way this is all just speculation. More iPad 3 Rumors.
