Opena iPhone Case Review

Today I'm going to check out the Opena iPhone Case. This awesome little iPhone case will fit the iPhone 4 or 4S and has a slide out bottle opener. If you're the sort that likes beverages that require a bottle opener and want a cool case to protect your iPhone too, the Opena iPhone Case might be perfect for you.

Specifications

The Opena iPhone Case comes in either black or white colors and fits AT&T and Verizon versions of the iPhone 4/4S. The case itself right under $40 each and has a 30-day money back guarantee.

In Use

I've seen many strange iPhone cases over the years and most of them are strange just for the sake of being strange. The Opena iPhone Case is definitely an odd and strange type of case for the iPhone 4, but its oddness has a distinct purpose. That distinct purpose is to allow you to pop the top off your frosty adult beverage no matter where you are so you can get your drink on.

This case is made from a hard plastic material and can be had in white or black colors. My test unit was black and other than the color, both versions are the same. The case leaves all the controls and ports for your iPhone uncovered and easy to access. The case will fit the iPhone on either Verizon or AT&T. The bottle opener appears to be made from stainless steel and has a circle cut out that allows the Apple logo to show through.

The material the case is made from isn't particularly thick in most areas. However, on the back where the thin bottle opener hides the case is thicker to accommodate the slide out opener. This adds minimal bulk to the iPhone. The bottle opener is easy to slide out for most people, and requires enough force that you won't accidentally have the opener slide out.

The only bad thing I can say about this case is if you're a sloppy drunk, you will need to be careful so you don't spill beer all over your iPhone. This opener will work for any pop off caps be it beer or soda. The company also offers a 100% money back guarantee if you decide you don't like the case. The plastic material appears to provide nice protection for your smart phone and adds very little weight.

Verdict

Pros

  • Cool case
  • Keeps your bottle opener always at hand

Cons

  • Just don't spill beer or soda on your iPhone
  • Expensive

Conclusion

The Opena iPhone Case is amazingly simple and ingenious iPhone case is perfect for the beer or soda connoisseur.
