Shelby American has unveiled one of the most powerful cars it has ever produced. The vehicle is called the Shelby 1000 and starts life as a standard 2012 Ford Shelby GT500. That standard car is taken to Shelby where it's transformed into either the Shelby 1000 street car or a Shelby 1000 S/C off-road track car.
The street version of the car gets 950 hp with the track version getting over 1100 hp. The engine gets new rods, pistons, and crank as well as an upgraded supercharger. The car also gets updated suspension and brakes. The completed version will cost about $200,000 with orders starting after the car debuts on April 5 at the New York International Auto Show.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
