Yesterday reports were circulating that Foxconn CEO Terry Gou had confirmed his company was working on the Apple HDTV. Those reports originated with a Chinese website. Foxconn has now come out and stated officially that Gou did not confirmed work on Apple TV was going on at facility.
If Foxconn denial can be believed, it seems that Gou was merely iterating the company was ready for such a product if it did launch. Of course, if Gou let slip that the Apple HDTV was coming the company would have to cover it up out of fear of losing a contract due to breaking Apple's notoriously tight security.
