LG has pulled the wraps off the highest resolution mobile phone display in all the land. The new screen measures five-inches diagonally. It has a pixel density of 440 PPI and a 16:9 aspect ratio perfect for HD video. The coolest feature is that the screen supports full HD 1080p resolution.
The display technology is called AH-IPS or Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching. LG promises that the screen is bright, but efficient enough that the bright screen won't eat your battery life. The screen is expected to hit the market in the second half of year.
