2013 Chevrolet Volt Gets Extra Electric Mode Range
Chevrolet has announced that the 2013 Volt has gained a few extra miles in pure electric motor driving range. The 2013 model is able to travel 38 miles on electric power alone, which is a gain of a scant 3 miles from the 2012 model. The 13 Volt also gets an increase in the MPGe rating for 94 miles to 98 miles.
The full extended range of the vehicle using the gasoline generator is 380 miles. Chevrolet says gains were made by tweaking the composition of the battery pack and slightly increasing the amount of energy the battery pack can store. These changes do increase the charge time slightly with a full recharge on 120 V outlet needing 10.5 hours at 240 V charging unit doing the deed in 4.25 hours.

About the Geek Mind
The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
