10m units sold by next month
Samsung is expecting to rack up huge sales numbers for its new smartphone the Galaxy S III by July. Samsung is predicting its latest handset will sell more than 10 million units by next month making it the company's most successful smartphone so far. Samsung is also predicting earnings from its mobile phone division will improve in Q2 compared to Q1.
Samsung is expecting to put significant pressure on Apple and its iPhone in the smartphone market. So far, Samsung has been hampered by poor availability of some models of the smartphones including the blue version and the larger 32 GB storage capacity version. Carriers in the United States have been unable to offer a larger storage capacity version so far due to poor supply.
