The iPhone 5 is supposed to be already in production. At least this is what rumors said over the weekend. Today the Wall Street Journal reports that their sources say that the iPhone 5 will use a new screen technology that makes screen thinner. This is not new and heard that rumor before.
The in-cell displays are made by Sharp and Japan Display Inc, a joint venture that combines three Japanese display makers and LG electronics.
In-Cell displays integrate the touch sensors in the LCD, which makes a separate touch layer unnecessary.
