Over the last few days reports about Apple negotiating with cable TV providers to let the Apple TV become a set-top box made headlines. Apple would offer in the Apple TV Set-top Box, seamless interface to live and on demand TV programming with iCloud DVR.
Now an analyst of Jefferies has tweeted (via 9to5Mac) that the Apple iTV (Apple HDTV) is in full production. Apple is supposed to partner with AT&T and Verizon to sell the Apple HDTV. Comcast and Warner would get set-top boxes. The Apple iTV would sell for $1,499 Apple with 2-year AT&T UVerse or Verizon FiOS contract the analyst posts in another tweet.
I am still not a big fan of the Apple HDTV idea. I think it's better to have a small set-top box that does it all that is connected to a TV of my choice.
