The iPhone 5 will adopt a new smaller SIM card standard. The new nano-SIM is basically no losing all plastic around the electronics. German Telekom has already begun to distribute the Nano-SIM cards to their retail shops. German blog iFun (via AppleInsider) snapped a picture of it. The German Telekom is not saying that this is an iPhone 5 SIM in the instructions for the retail staff, but its clear that the nano-SIM is for the iPhone 5.
German Telekom now also offers an Add-on LTE service option. Again an offering aimed at the iPhone 5.
The new iPhone 5 is expected to be announced on September 12. The iPhone 5 sales are then to begin September 21. Rumored features of the new iPhone 5 include a larger screen, A6 CPU, iOS 6, small dock connector, 4G LTE and NFC. The overall design would not change dramatically. The backside material is not glass anymore as Apple introduces a unibody design. The rumors also say that the iPhone 5 is very thin.
