Apple has started to release the iOS 6 download. Just check for updates on your iPhone or in iTunes.

Consensus so far is that Apple will release the iOS 6 update starting at 10am PDT.

Apple will release the new iOS 6 today, Sept. 19. It is not clear at what time Apple will start to make the iOS 6 download available. The likely wait until the office hours in California. 10am or 12am PDT are possible candidates for the iOS 6 download release.
iOS 6 brings tons of new features including the new Apple Maps app.
iOS 6 is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch 4G, iPod 5G, iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPhone 5.
