It looks like Apple did some magic in the custom A6 CPU. According to a SunSpider Javascript Benchmark test courtesy of AnandTech, the iPhone 5 has the fastest Javascript performance of any available smartphone. It beats also the new Intel Atom Z2460 CPU. Apparently Apple optimized the Cortex A9 memory interface to separate itself from the competition.
With LTE connectivity the iPhone 5 could offer a faster web browsing experience than some of you have at home on your PC.
The iPhone 5 is going on sale on Friday at 8am. Today Apple will release iOS 6.
