Foxconn is in the news again for worker related problems. Foxconn had to close a plant in northern China after a huge brawl involving 2,000 workers broke out. 40 workers got injured. A 5,000 strong Police force had to come in to end the brawl. The plant employs close to 80,000 workers. The police investigates what caused the brawl. So far Foxconn says that the incident started as a private dispute amongst workers.
John Chen devised a turnaround plan after joining BlackBerry (BBRY) eight months ago that has proved fruitful. BlackBerry shares have risen 50.46% so far this year, while the Technology SPDR ETF (XLK) has risen 8.81%.
