AMD Announces New A-Series Processors

AMD has announced the official availability at retail outlets for second-generation A-Series Accelerated Processing Units. These chips combine a GPU and CPU into a single device and are aimed at the DIY market. The new processors will also find a way into cheap computers other needs for manufacturers as well.

The new A-Series APs are available at prices from $53-$122. The APU features Radeon HD 7000 series graphics and the chips are available clocked at up to 4.2 GHz. These processes are also unlock to allow users to overclock if desired.
