DirecTV recently unveiled one of the coolest DVR's that you will find anywhere. The satellite provider calls the DVR the DirecTV Genie. The DVR is capable of recording five programs at the same time using a single DVR. Every room in the home gets full HD DVR functionality including pause, rewind, and record features.
The DVR allows the recording of up to four programs at one time while a fifth program is watched live. The system also supports on-demand programs in every room. The new DVR also supports apps including Pandora, Facebook, twitter, and a lot more. It has one terabyte of storage space supporting up to 200 hours of HD programming. The new Genie DVR is a free upgrade to new subscribers.
