Not too long ago a court in the UK ruled against Apple and patent case brought against competitor Samsung. Apple Lynch the Samsung was infringing on design patents it held for the iPad with the design of the Samsung Galaxy. The courts ultimately found that Samsung wasn't infringing on any Apple patents and ordered Apple to run ads online and in newspapers and magazines apologizing.
Apple appealed the ruling and the appeals court judge has upheld the original ruling. Apple will not have to run ads noting that Samsung didn't copy its products in major newspapers within the UK. Apple will also have to place a link to an apology letter on its website. Apple can appeal to the UK Supreme Court, whether it will is unknown.
