The Apple October 23 media event starts at 10am PDT / 1pm EDT in San Francisco in the California Theatre. Based on the Apple rumor mill the company will unveil several new products. The list of new Apple releases includes iPad mini, iPad 3 with Lightning, 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display, updated iMacs and updated Mac minis. Apple is expected to make a play for the iPad mini in the educational market.
Now 9to5Mac just broke a report that Apple will release four new Lightning Cables with different adaptors for USB, SDCard, Digital AV and VGA. These cables are not cheap if the leaked information is correct. The Lightning USB cable is $29 and with that price the cheapest. The Lightning to VGA and AV are selling for a whopping $49.
