The holiday shopping season is here and if you have something extra special in mind for the fan of TV and movies on your Christmas list, you might want to check out the new Samsung smart TVs for 2012. Samsung has many different TV models with various screen sizes and features in its smart TV line this year, but at the high-end is one of the most feature packed TVs Samsung makes.
This high-end TV set is model UN75ES9000 and the little beastie sells for almost $9,000 on Amazon.com. The price tag of $8,997.99 certainly isn't for shoppers on a budget, but if your budget supports one of the best smart TVs out there this is it. The screen measures a whopping 75-inches diagonally and supports full 1080p HD resolution.
The TV also has a 240Hz refresh rate making for clear action even when that refresh rate is cut in half when viewing 3-D content. The TV is LED backlit making it more power efficient and providing better contrast and color reproduction. The massive screen has an aspect ratio of 16:9 and it comes with a fancy remote control that supports both voice and gesture control of the TV functions. Some Samsung smartphones such as the Galaxy S3 can also be used to control this TV.
The TV supports a number of apps for streaming video, sports, games, and other types of content. The TV has integrated Wi-Fi so you don't need a wire available to connected to the Internet. On top of the TV is an integrated camera that pops up when needed and tucks away when not.
The TV does require active 3-D glasses to watch 3-D content. The good news is unlike some 3-D TVs on the market, Samsung includes four pairs of these glasses with the TV. If you have more than four people in your family or you want friends be able to watch 3-D content, additional pairs of active 3-D glasses that work with this TV are available for only $19.99 each. The TVs web connectivity allows you to stream video content and download apps, and you can also surf the Internet on this TV.
Connectivity options include three HDMI ports, three USB ports, a component input, dual composite inputs, digital audio output, an Ethernet port, and a HDMI-CEC Anynet+ compatible HDMI port. One of the best features of this TV from an aesthetics standpoint is the ultraslim bezel that's only 0.3 inches thick making the screen looking at larger than it really is. The smart TV has every feature you could think of and will keep you, your friends, and your family entertained for years to come.
