Frys Outpost has Madplayers for a limited time for only $99
When the digital music device was release last October it sold for $299.
I got mine a year ago and still utilize it. Last week, I used it as a digital voice recorder for an interview with another MadPlayer owner in San Francisco. It plays MP3/WMA/MIDI from a removable SmartMemory card. It is the only handheld karaoke machine on the market. Over 1,800 Karaoke tunes can be downloaded free from freekaraoke.com. The heart and soul of the Madplayer is its ability to create copyright free music on the fly. A couple of months ago I found a rapper in a local rap contest. We spent 3 weeks sitting on various park benches in public places recording his rhythms into the pocket music studio. Check them out.
Future Technology News Gadget Girl, singer/songwriter, Michelle Lambert got a MadPlayer on Sunday. She will be using hers to compose tunes during 5+ hour commutes up and down highway 101.
Support is important:
The French based company maintains a US 800 number and has a very active online end user message board.
There are four (4) rechargeable batteries and a charger included in every sliver lined package. That is a $20 added value! So, the Madplayer at Fry's is like only $79. $79 for a SmartMemory MP3 player! Check the boards. This is the deal of the season. You snooze. You lose.
