NEC announces World's first 8x DVD Writer for PCs.
NEC will supply PC makers like Dell and HP with DVD+R drives, and also ship DVD-R drives for European markets. No other details available at this point.
UPDATE:
The Plextor 708a also has 8x write speed for DVD+R.
