The Apple iPhone 4 left hand reception issue is still the main issue with the new iPhone 4. Apple keeps hammering the point that this issue is true with most cell phones and the reception on the iPhone 4 is better than on the iPhone 3GS.
Over the weekend a rumor appeared that Apple works on iOS 4.01 to ease the problem, but until now we have not seen it. It is also still controversial if a software update can fix the antenna issue.
BGR published now what is supposed the internal troubleshooting guide for Apple Care employees. The guide is focusing on advising customers on the "correct" (sick) way to hold their iPhone 4 or use an iPhone 4 Case.
The guide also makes clear not to give away free iPhone 4 Bumpers to complaining customers. Apple is selling iPhone 4 Bumpers for $29 a piece.
This whole iPhone 4 antenna controversy is putting a bad taste on the iPhone 4 launch despite its huge sales numbers. Yes, it is true that other phones have similar issues, but there never has been such an outcry about it. Apple needs to find an acceptable solution for this issue soon.
In the meantime you can get one of the hot iPhone 4 cases featured in our Top 10 iPhone 4 Accessories list.
