We know that RIM has purchased web space for the BlackPad and now Bloomberg reports that sources have come forward and revealed the other details of this upcoming BlackBerry tablet. The BlackPad will be very similar in size to the iPad, presumably packing its 9.7" display. It will have WiFi and Bluetooth, according to two people familiar with the matter.
Expect the BlackPad's price to come in at around $499. RIM won't be competing on price with Apple, but it is highly unlikely that they would charge more. Odds are good that this gadget will be highly integrated with BlackBerry devices, making it more of a companion gadget than a true tablet computer. There will be a major focus on enterprise-level security in order to make the BlackPad attractive to business customers.
