Siemens today posted its first-quarter profits that beat expectations despite the losses in the mobile phone business units (Siemens is so huge, that making mobile phones is only a niche for them). Siemens did not made any statements on the future for its mobile phones business.
The rumors about selling the mobile phone business to LG or others are still rumors. I also heard that for years Motorola was a candidate for buying the mobile phone business.
Anyway, no news here on the future of the fourth largest mobile phones maker.
More details in a story on Reuters.
