Sony PS3 Price Lower than Expected?

We reported that the Sony PS3 price would be around $465 last week. Now information appears that Sony would launch the Sony PS3 at the same price point it launched the Sony PS2. This would mean a price around $370. More details on Gamespot.

Also Sony might do a global launch for the first time. I guess all depends on how successful the Microsoft Xbox 360 is going to be. This will influence the price and the launch strategy for the Playstation 3 in 2006.
