US based Atrua Technologies developed a new tiny input device for mobile phones called Wings.
The Atrua Wings ATW100 is a sensor and software haptic processing system. The system consists of a small, low cost and low power haptic sensor which provides information on finger features and movement and algorithms performing fingerprint recognition, navigation and control functions.
The Atrua Wings sensor is supposed to show up in mobile phones early next year, possibly first in Korea.
