Not sure if this is just marketing talking, but Sanyo releases new LCD TVs that are apparently optimized for watching sports in Japan.
Thee 32" LCD-32HD6 and the 27" LCD-27HD6 feature a special sport mode and the Sanyo VIZON engine III.
The sports mode actually has 5 selections which adjust audio and image. The modes are baseball / soccer / golf, sumo wrestling / grapple skill, winter sports and water sports. I really would like to see the effect on changing between those sports. Sanyo should call this feature Sports Equalizer.
The new Sanyo LCD TVs go on sale mid July. The 32" screen sells for about $3,200.
More details in Sanyo press-release (Japanese).
