Viacom and Soma Mobile are bringing Star Trek fans a Star Trek communicator style mobile phone end of September.
The Star Trek phone is part of promotions to come to celebrate 40 years of Star Trek next year.
Apparently the Star Trek phone is not finalized yet, but it will have the appeal of the classic Star Trek communicator. It will play music and videos and games.
More details on Wired. The Soma Mobile site for the Star Trek phone is still a bit empty.
There have been mobile phones themed with Star Wars, but they are basically normal phones just bundled with themed ring-tones and backgrounds. Lets see if the Star Trek phone is more elaborate.
