Hasbro announces the Zoombox, a Video Projector with built-in DVD player for kids. The projector is selling for less than $300!
Update:
Zoombox selling at Wal-mart online for $282.00 (In Stock!)
The Hasbro Zoombox DVD Entertainment Projector can display images on ceiling or wall in with sixty inches or larger. Via AV cables game consoles can be connected too.
This might be the most low-cost projector on the market. Of course there is no word about brightness, contrast ratio or supported resolutions. The photo of the Zoombox is also
promising not too much. The press-release states that the Zoombox DVD player and video game projector is scheduled to be available exclusively in New York and online at the HasbroShop this December for an approximate retail price of $299 and will be available nationwide in 2006.
But I already found it listed on the Wal-Mart online store. Wal-Mart (search for zoombox) offers the Zoombox for $296.00. It is currently out of stock and has no shipping date.
