This backpack is not using solar panels to generate electricity - it is powered by walking.
Larry Rome, a biology professor invented this backpack especially for first response personal in disaster areas, where portable energy is an issue.
The backpack creates energy from the movement of the load inside a frame during
walking. A generator inside is using the movement to generate electricity.A prototype of the electricity backpack generated continuously 7 Watts. No word yet, if this backpack will be productized any time soon.
