So Dell officially launched their first flash based MP3 player today dubbed Dell DJ Ditty.
At first, because I am not a native English speaker, I thought Dell tries to be funny and make the name of it's new MP3 player sound like the name of Music Celebrity Diddy (formerly P. Diddy). But then I found out Ditty also means little song or something like that.
Anyway, Dell's new player comes in a 512MB configuration and has a small 26x11mm LCD screen. Ditty measures 3.6 x 1.1 x .5 inches and weighing only 1.29 ounces. The battery holds 14 hours. Dell DJ Ditty supports MP3 and WMA-DRM files.
The Dell DJ Ditty sells for $99.99 on Dell.com.
This is of course the same price as the iPod shuffle. Here is a wild idea: Why not under-price Apple?
