Hi-Res Photos of Windows Treo
After all the rumors about a Windows Treo, Palm now officially announced a press-conference scheduled for Monday to announce the partnership with Microsoft.
This is a high profile press event as Bill Gates, Ed Colligan (Palm CEO) and Denny Strigl (Verizon CEO) will be present at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco at 9am on Monday.
Engadget already got their hands on a Windows Mobile 5.0 running Treo smartphone dubbed Treo 700w
or Treo 700 (not Treo 670) and published exclusive photos.
This could be a major boost for Windows Mobile in the market place. It also could mean, that only one smart phone operating system will survive. See the sale of Palm Source. The only other one is RIM, who is still strong in the portable communications segment.
