Sun and Google will announce a partnership today. Theories on what the two
companies will be announcing are running wild.
What is known for sure is that Scott McNealy, Sun Microsystems Chairman and CEO and Dr. Eric Schmidt, Google Chairman of the Executive Committee and CEO will hold a press-conference today at 10:30am PDT in Mountain View.
We all can join to see what they are up to at a live webcast.
Most likely the Google Sun partnership will be around software and not Sun's server hardware. Sun owns the open source Star Office suite and Java. Maybe with the help of Google's distribution this could give a new boost to compete with Microsoft.
