Sony will launch what it claims to be the world's thinnest music player in April as part of a new product lineup called USB Audio to redefine its Aiwa brand.

The card-size Giga pavit HZ-WS2000 measures 10.6 millimeters thick and weighs 68 grams, making it the world's thinnest and lightest music player among those with a hard disk drive (HDD), Sony said in a news release.
Equipped with a 2-gigabyte HDD, the HZ-WS2000 can record music equivalent to some 30 CDs.

The new product is one of 13 USB Audio-series products to be introduced under the Aiwa brand from February.

Sony took over struggling audio equipment maker Aiwa Co. in December 2002 and now sells Aiwa-brand products mainly targeted at consumers in their teens and 20s. More details in Press-Release on Yahoo

Features:
30 Hours / 50CDs / 500 MP3 Songs in 2GB HDD (when encoded at 128kbps)
LCD Remote Control with Jog Shuttle for Smooth & Easy Operation
8-hour Operation by Lithium-ion Battery
