The HD DVD-R discs can hold up to 30GB of data and the burner can play HD DVD movies as well. The computer has a glossy white finish that looks like it will get dirty and scratch quickly. The power buttons and some controls are silver, nice looking machine for sure.
The screen is a 17” using Ultimate TruBrite technology with a full1080p image resolution. The machine also has an HDMI out so you can ply HD DVD movies on your home TV as well. Networking includes wireless N WiFi and a gigabit Ethernet connection. Video is via NVIDIA’s GeForce 8600M GT which is DirectX 10 complaint.
The system runs Vista Ultimate and uses a Core 2 Duo T7300 CPU, 2GB of PC2-5300 RAM and two 160Gb hard drives for 320GB of total storage space. The native resolution for the 17” display is 1920 x 1200. A 1-bit digital amplifier is built-in for the Dolby surround sound and a finger print reader is built-in for security as well. Pricing is $3199.99 for the system, making it quite expensive. Via Toshiba
