Ars Technica runs a story saying that a mole sent them information that Microsoft will soft launch new Core and Premium Xbox 360 consoles with HDMI port.
Update 08/08/07:
Xbox 360 Premium HDMI already shipping
Currently only the new expensive Xbox 360 Elite has a HDMI port.
The new HDMI Xbox 360 consoles are supposed to become available once the current inventory is gone.
The new Xbox 360 generation would be on 65nm technology and possibly have a quiter DVD drive.

The special edition Halo Xbox 360 also has HDMI. That MS propagated in the beginning that HDMI is not necessary is coming back at them now.
Starting today the Xbox 360 price-cuts are in effect. The Xbox 360 Premium sells now for $349.99 on Amazon.com.
