Klipsch doesn’t mess around when they launch a new pair of flagship speakers; they go right for the fat wallets. The new Klipsch Palladium Floorstander speakers cost a cool $15,000 a pair.
That is a lot of scratch for a pair of speakers no matter how you look at it. The speakers use 3.5-way Tapered Array design that uses new proprietary horn-loaded tweeter assembly made from acoustically-dampening materials.
The midrange speakers use an inverted dome design and three high-output woofers give precise audio with high sensitivity and low distortion. The Tractrix horn and ¾” diaphragm tweeter give a high-frequency response of 3kHz to 30kHz. Not only are the internal components of each set of speakers matched, the speaker cases are matched too for grain and color.
