Apple is holding a press-conference in the UK on Tuesday to announce the iPhone UK plans. T-Mobile in Germany has scheduled a press-conference a day later on Wednesday.
In the light of the official announcements the iPhone deal rumors reach new heights.
The British newspaper The Guardian reports that O2 would be giving Apple 40% of any revenues derived from the iPhone plus a margin of the retail price. This would be a real bad deal for O2.
The latest on the Apple iPhone deal with the German Telekom is that the carriers also have the iPhone rights for Austria, Hungary, Netherlands and Croatia. More details on the FT Germany.
The revenue share deal for the T-Mobile is still rumored at only 10%.
Rumors that Apple would bring already a 3G iPhone in Europe did not get any new fuel so far.
The iPhone hype still seems to be very high in Europe. Some customers will be considering new 3G touch phones that are going to be introduced by carriers that did not get to make a deal with Apple. The hottest iPhone alternative so far is the Samsung F700 by Vodafone.
