Microsoft launched the new Zune PMPs today, yesterday the flash based Zune in 4GB, and 8GB varieties got their FCC approval. Also tossed in among the FCC exhibits was an approval for a Zune branded FM transmitter for use in the car.
Hard details on the FM transmitter were missing yesterday thanks to Microsoft’s request for confidentiality. Today the Zune Car Pack as the transmitter is officially known was released with an availability date of November 13.
The Zune Car Pack automatically selects the optimal station for broadcasting and allows you to charge your Zune while listening. You can also set two different presets for your best FM frequencies. A dashboard grip pad is also included to keep things in place as you drive. Pricing for the Zune Car Pack is $79.99.
