The iPhone firmware 2.0 comes with the iPhone SDK and is not officially available yet.
A hacker group was already able to open up the upcoming iPhone firmware to run any application and to use it with any carrier.
Gizmodo just published a video of a T-Mobile running hacked iPhone 2.0.
According to the hackers the hole they are using is difficult to close for Apple. I am not sure if this will hold true. Apple still has several months until the official release of the iPhone 2.0 firmware. If it is important to them they will find a way to fix it.
